The Fair Lady Memorial Gardens

Space to reflect

The building sits in 12 acres of grass and woodlands which is home to a wide variety of animal species. Most of the land has been kept unspoilt and we aim to encourage more wildlife through careful habitat management.

Within this space sits The Fair Lady Memorial Gardens, offering attractive walks and spaces for quiet contemplation and remembering, where soft flowing grasses are interspersed with pools of colour from herbaceous ornamental flowering plants.

Remembering young lives

Charlie’s Garden – a special memorial garden dedicated to families who have experienced the tragic loss of a young life has been created with the local branch of SANDS (the Stillborn and Neonatal Death Society).

Entered through a rose arbour, families are guided on a spiral path through a colourful herbaceous border and into the memorial space.   There are seats for reflection.   Stepping stones allow you to choose your path through the garden.   At the centre is a memorial tree to which families can add a leaf in memory of their much loved child.

Scattering in a woodland setting

In a quiet unspoilt area we have created a space where ashes can be scattered in a natural setting. As the area is to be kept as natural as possible, we ask that no personal mementos be left there.

The ashes can be scattered loosely by a member of staff or family members can be present and a few words of closure can be spoken.
